===========================================================================
Title : Arena 1
Date Finished : 9 Novenber 1996
Author : Justin Cunningham
Email Address : chronos@ram.net.au
Other Files By Author : Coloseum.bsp, not on internet, but I'll give it to
You if you like arena and you ask me.
Misc. Author Info : I have done many doom2 levels, all deathmatch exept
one, but it was crap.
Description : A small DM level designed for at least 3 players,
preferably more, fast moving and really spooky when
the lights go dim... I'd say It would be too
crowded for more than about 8 players.
Additional Credits to : My friend Brendon Ryan, who originally did the
arena series for doom2, so far he has done 6 and
I am remaking them for him in Quake format.
===========================================================================
Type of Quake file
BSP : Yes
quake c patch : Yes, its in the .pak, just makes the level a bit more
fun, you run faster, most weapons fire a little faster
and the lights stay black for longer, the source is
also included in the .pak if you want to have a look
at it, not much to see but.
* Play Information *
Map : arena1.bsp
Single Player : No Way
Cooperative 2-4 Player : Totally OUT!
Deathmatch 2-16 Player : Yes, though not more than about 8 players recommended
Difficulty Settings : No
New Sounds : No
New Graphics : No
Demos Replaced : None
* Construction *
Base : Based around arena1 from arena.wad, arena.wad was never
released
Build Time : Longer than you would think for a level of this size
Editor(s) used : WorldCraft <--- This editor kicks ASS!!
Known Bugs : Instantly repeated death - the first time you die you
reappear in exactly the place that you died, then when
you die again you reappear in a proper DM start (if
anyone knows how to fix this could you please tell
me)
Walls at a distance get those off-putting red-yellow-
black stripes on them (once again if you know how
to fix this please tell me)
May Not Run With... : a 386 :)
